The Piebald Buck Stops Here
Posted by DDH Staff

There are few details about this unique piebald deer, but we're sure the hunter -- whoever he is, wherever he was hunting -- had to pinch himself when he leveled his sights on this buck.

I know that a large Piebald buck was killed in Coshocton County, Ohio this bow season but I haven't seen a picture of it or know for sure who shot it. I may be able to find out. I do know that it is rare for a piebald buck to grow a rack this large so I think it would be very coincidental that there be two in the same season.

This deer was killed just outside of Palestine, TX, by my husband on November 2, 2008. It scored 138 5/8 and weighed 195 lbs. There are lots of rumors circulating about his deer and where it was killed and whether or not it is even real.

Jolene..is it your husband that is in the picture? One of our hunting buddies emailed these same pics to us and says that it was taken in Wisconsin. I did locate a news article that says the take was actually in Texas. Please let me know, we constantly get emails of this type and never seem to find out
who really gets these. thanks angie
